Alexander H. Queen

Biography

Dr. Queen is a full-time lecturer in the psychology department. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Miami in 2014, and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008. Prior to arriving at Tufts in 2015, Dr. Queen completed his predoctoral clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the May Institute. His clinical and research interests are in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in both children and adults.

Dr. Queen primarily teaches courses and advises students within the Clinical Psychology concentration. In his role as lecturer, Dr. Queen teaches introductory and advanced courses in abnormal psychology, clinical assessment, statistics, and clinical research methods. He also coordinates supervised fieldwork placements for senior Clinical Psychology majors completing their year-long capstone internship experience.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and cheering for the Miami Hurricanes and North Carolina Tar Heels.
