Andrew G. Thompson, M.S., Ph.D.
I earned my BS from Old Dominion University in 2010, majoring in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics, my MS in 2012 (also from ODU) while studying Human Movement Sciences, and my Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Auburn University while focusing on the Psychophysiology of Motor Behavior. My research interests are rather diverse, but generally focus on the influence of stress and anxiety on perception, cognition, and action. More specifically, much of my work is geared towards predicting and enhancing cognitive and motor performance in high-stakes environments and occupations (e.g., military, police, fire/medical, athletics, etc.). If you are interested obtaining more information, collaboration, or just discussing relevant research topics, please contact me.
