Studying the Brain and Body Correlates of
Emotion, from Reaction to RegulationThe Emotion, Brain, & Behavior Laboratory was established in 2005 by Heather L. Urry in the Dept. of Psychology at Tufts University. We use a variety of tools to learn how the brain & body work together to let us experience, express & regulate emotion. Our studies involve people of all ages, from infants to individuals in their mid 60s. Tools include functional magnetic resonance imaging, autonomic psychophysiology (skin conductance, EKG, facial electromyography,
eye tracking, salivary cortisol & behavioral measures.
