We
research a variety of topics in human learning and memory, including:
Spatial Visualizations (maps, pictures, GPS interfaces)
Spatial Language (written directions, layout descriptions)
Spatial Memory (form, function, specificity, flexibility)
Discourse Comprehension (temporal and spatial event indexing,
perspectives, embodiment)
Multimedia Learning (procedural sequence learning, science learning)
Nutrition and Cognition (hydration, caffeine, food intake, exercise)
Emphasis is placed on the application
of these research topics to real world problems in education, training, human performance,
