Joie Chowdhury - International Relations

Joie Chowdhury holds a law degree from India and is currently pursuing an MA in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School, Tufts University. She specializes in public international law with a focus on compliance, international human rights law, law and development, and transitional justice. Her current thesis research focuses on the role of courts in the socio-economic development of nations. Chowdhury is a Fletcher Fund Alumni Scholar and the recipient of the Alfred P. Rubin Prize in International Law. She has worked for the Center for Economic and Social Rights (New York), the Center for International Trade, Economics and Environment, Consumer Unity and Trust Society International (Jaipur, India) and the South Asia Human Rights Documentation Center (Delhi, India). She's also participated in a major collaborative project on the right to health for the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health, India.
