Internships
PJS 99 Internships in Social
Change Organizations provides a joint internship and seminar course designed to help
students think deeply about what personal role they have in
raising concerns and how to work effectively with others to
change how societies organize and conduct social, economic, and
political lives. Two thematic approaches are offered:
In the fall semester, PJS/IR 99: "Transnational Social
Movements: Strategies for Peace, Human Rights, Development, and
Environment." And in the Spring, PJS/CIS 99: "Internships for
Public Service, Social Responsibility, and Active Citizenship."
If you are a PJS major or
Certificate candidate, we require you to complete the internship
seminar with a social change or public interest organization to
learn more about citizen advocacy and social movement
organizing.
If you are not currently enrolled in PJS but are still interested in the internship and seminar, please contact Dale Bryan for approval at dale.bryan@tufts.edu.
