Philosophy E-Lists

  • Philosophy Updates
    A nationwide list that allows members to post notices about Philosophy conferences, calls for papers, and so on.
  • The Boston-Area Philosophy Mailing List
    A local list providing information about Philosophy-related events (e.g., colloquium talks, reading groups, workshops) at Boston-area schools. 
  • Workshop on Gender and Philosophy (WOGAP)
    WOGAP is a highly successful, lively workshop with an active membership from many schools in the Boston area and from western Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  It meets once a month at MIT (right on the red line of the T), which provides meeting space and dinner for participants.  Each month, ordinarily on the third Thursday, the group meets to discuss a paper by one of its members, which include both graduate students and faculty members. 
  • The Society for Women in Philosophy Mailing List
    A national list with announcements and topical discussions of interest to women in philosophy and fellow-travelers.

  • Phil Papers
    A comprehensive directory with links to thousands of online philosophy articles and books by academic philosophers.  Phil Papers (AKA “David Chalmers’s website”) monitors journals in many areas of philosophy, as well as archives and personal pages.  The site also accepts articles directly from users, who can provide links or upload copies
