Undergraduate The Tufts Philosophy Department offers both a major and a minor in philosophy.

The department also offers a certificate program in "Ethics, Law and Society".

Profs. Daniel Dennett and Ray Jackendoff serve as faculty coordinator for the minor in cognitive science. A new major in cognitive science is also expected to be approved.

Prof. Nancy Bauer is a university advisory board member for the Communications and Media Studies Program.

Graduate The department administers a Master of Arts program that is widely acclaimed within the philosophical community -- e.g.: "Among terminal M.A. programs, the top program in the country (in terms of faculty quality) is Tufts University" (The Philosophical Gourmet Report).

Many past graduate comprehensive examinations and study questions are now online, in electronic versions.
