Recognizing
that Tufts University is an academic institution, the Office of Student
Activities is committed to the full development of the individual
as a person. As experts in the field of student development, the Office
of Student Activities is dedicated to:
1.
Fostering the growth and development of students in the areas of
leadership and programming (educational, recreational, social, and
cultural.)
2.
Creating an environment where the partnership between students and
professional staff encourages student involvement, responsibility,
empowerment, and accountability.
3.
Directing student autonomy through support, advisement and encouragement
of self-advocacy to continuously build upon and benefit the community.
4.
Providing an open, caring, respectful, and civil environment by
welcoming our similarities and honoring our differences.
5.
Supporting an inclusive and comfortable environment where programs,
services, and accommodations address the needs and and interests
of all members of the Tufts community.
6.
Providing accessible, clean, safe, healthy, and secure facilities
and offering quality services for all members of the Tufts community
including students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni/ae, and
guests.
