For Landlords: General Information
The Off-Campus Housing Resource Center provides housing
assistance to students, faculty, and staff of Tufts
University who are seeking off-campus housing. Among the
services provided is the on-line listing of privately owned
available units in the surrounding communities.
Although we appreciate the housing resources offered to
the Tufts population by the many reputable landlords and
realtors in the area, we manage this service solely for the
benefit of our students, faculty and staff. Therefore, we
reserve the right to exclude any listing from our website.
This includes the right to refuse an initial listing, as
well as the right to remove a pre-existing listing. As a
general rule, listings will be excluded whenever it is
brought to our attention that the unit at issue does not
meet minimum requirements under the Massachusetts State
Sanitary Codes, that the property is in violation of any
city ordinance, or that the landlord is otherwise failing to
comply with federal, state, or local housing laws. Our goal
is to offer a resource that will enable the users of the
website to find clean, reasonably-priced, safe, secure, and
adequate living accommodations. We will also monitor any
student initiated complaints against owners/properties for
frequency and reserve the right to deny listing those units
with multiple complaints or severe complaints. As such, we
expect the community at Tufts University to encounter a
positive, professional experience with the respective
property owner or representative. Thank you for your
interest in listing your available property (s) with the
Off-Campus Housing Resource Center at Tufts University. Learn how to

If you are posting "Seeking a Place to Live" ads
This service is for members of the Tufts community
only. See the website for examples; then send an email
including when you need housing, how much you can afford, and a way to
contact you.
Notice of Non-Discrimination in Housing:
Tufts University supports Massachusetts law, which states, in general, that
discrimination is prohibited on the basis of race, religion, national origin,
age, ancestry, military background or service, sex, sexual preference, marital
status, blindness, deafness, or the need of a guide dog. (M. G. L. c.151B §4) No
landlord can refuse to rent an apartment to you because you receive a rental
subsidy, because the apartment contains lead, or, with some exceptions, because
you have children.
Please keep in mind that the University assumes no
responsibility for contracts between individuals, nor can it
guarantee the accuracy or integrity of any information provided
by either party. You may want to carefully consider how you
would like to be contacted by interested parties.
