What We Do
(we actually do stuff)
|
The No Homers club meets every 2 weeks to watch and discuss the Simpsons. We watch episodes in pairs and choose shows which relate to a certain theme. Afterwards we discuss how the show portrayed such themes and how it relates to American society and pop culture. Often we invite other Tufts student groups to meetings when we discuss episodes with issues they can relate to. Past guests have included Tufts Hillel, Women's Union at Tufts, Economics Society and The Tufts Transgendered, Lesbian, Gay, Bixsexual Collective. We also have special events on the big screen TV in Hotung Cafe for season primeires and finales. The No Homers Club also holds other special events, such as our Annual Charity Dodgeball Tournement in March, speakers, trivia nights, and other fun things.
