Research Interests:
Fuel Processing; Advanced Desulfurization Sorbents; Fuel Cells
Activities:
Synthesis of novel sorbents with high sulfur capacity and H2S removal efficiency for high temperature desulfurization of fuel gas streams. Investigation of thermodynamics and kinetics of bulk sulfidation of various lanthanide oxides. Material characterization (XRD, BET surface area) and sulfidation experiments, kinetics measurements in a TGA and TPD are combined to examine structural and mechanistic issues of hot gas desulfurization and derive suitable models of the process.
