NanoCEL Research Group 2009-2010

About the Lab

Research conducted at the Tufts NanoCEL aims at applying principles of heterogeneous catalysis to the solution of problems in the production of clean energy. These include catalytic fuel conversion to hydrogen-rich gas mixtures, and oxidation and reduction reactions that convert pollutants (CO, SO₂, NO_x) to innocuous species. Emphasis is on the identification of the important catalyst structures for enhancing a desired reaction pathway.
