Float 2002: Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

For Homecoming 2002, Python diversified its offerings: not only did we build a "Bring Out Your Dead" cart, we also built five giant letters that spelled out "T-U-F-F-S"--our favorite institution! We carried them crucifiction-style and were accompanied by that classic Life of Brian tune, "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life!" Additionally, we also had an appearance by a member of the Spanish Inquisition, because NOBODY EXPECTS the SPANISH INQUISITION!

Amazingly enough, and despite the morbidity of our float, we managed to win first prize! All I can say is, our school needs some more school spirit, 'cause Python is all that it's got.

Our Apologies
The freshly-finished letters.
Hey! Look at the other stuff you can spell with TUFFS!
More stuff you can spell with Tuffs.
Sometimes you just need a giant pair of letters that spell out "FU".
Virginia illustrates how the letter "F" can double as a fun horsey ride! (I'm a pretty pony, anyone?)
On the way up the Hill to the start of the parade: Erica, Regan, Dan, Rebecca and Ellen look for some dead folks.
Virginia and Marc fix the dead "Dead" cart while Rebecca Supervises
A pre-parade group shot
Yeah, Marc! Ride that U!
Regan and Dan give the rack a turn, while Virginia prepares to poke Mike with the soft cushion. Poor Mike!
Rebecca tries her hand at giving the rack a turn. Uhh, Rebecca? Are you sure you're doing that right?
Rebecca looks on the bright side of life.
Marc with his U.
Virginia with her F.
Hope with her F, in full costume (check out those bare feet!)

But where's Ellen with her S? We're not quite sure.
