The Monty Python Society

On Wednesday, April 22, 1998, The Monty Python Society decided to paint the cannon. But, we decided not to paint it like everyone else. We would be different. Take a look at what we did...

• Picture 4: A wheel.
• Picture 5: The workers.
• Picture 6: The chalkings.
• Picture 7: Chalking outside of Tisch.
• Picture 8: More chalkings.
• Picture 9: More chalkings.
• Picture 10: More chalkings.
• Picture 11: More chalkings.

It was shaping up to be something special. Something the Tufts' community could look at and be proud of. It was supposed to raise the spirits, and glisten in the sun.

And it would have. Except for...

• Picture 14: More from the morning after.

And so it goes, at a campus where art is underappreciated, creativity is squandered for a cheap attempt at flattery and the hopes of getting some action.

This deeply troubles me. Anyone up for some Letters to The Editor?
