Claudia Miranda-Julian
Research Analyst

Claudia Miranda-Julian is a doctoral student in the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development at Tufts University. Claudia has been working on the Massachusetts Health Families Evaluation since the summer of 2006 as a graduate research assistant. She also works as a research associate on the Massachusetts Health Passport Evaluation, assessing the role of parents in the health-access and utilization patterns of youth involved in the juvenile justice system. She earned her BA in History and Latin American Studies from New York University and her MS in Social Work from Columbia University. Claudia’s current research interests include the transmission of health beliefs and behaviors from parent to child, impact of parental trauma and mental health symptoms on parent-child interactions and child development outcomes, and the impact of community context on parent-child relations.
