Mariah Contreras

Mariah Contreras is a first-year M.A./Ph.D. student in the
Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development and a doctoral research assistant for the Massachusetts Healthy Families Evaluation. She graduated cum laude from Colgate University in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree concentrating in Educational Studies and Art & Art History. Her current research interests include: racial/ethnic identity development and adolescent psychology, especially within minority, immigrant, and underserved U.S. populations, resiliency and values formation, and cultural ideology and expression in adolescents.
