Jana Chaudhuri, Ph.D., is a Research Coordinator for the
Massachusetts Healthy Families Evaluation (MHFE). She graduated with a
BA in Psychology from Colgate University, received a MA in Child
Development from Tufts University, and later received her doctorate in
Applied Child Development from Tufts, concentrating in issues of
clinical-developmental psychology. After receiving her doctorate, Dr.
Chaudhuri managed a research project within the Pediatrics department of
Boston Medical Center, implementing and studying an intervention focused
on preventing depression in low-income and minority mothers of young
children. She is interested in the cultural context of parenting,
cultural adaptation in immigrant and minority families, identity
processes surrounding ethnicity, socio-emotional development and
regulation, and research and clinical work that support high-risk
parents and their families. |
