Bachelor of Science (BS)

This is the least structured degree program in the Department administered by the College of Engineering. Students design a personal program of study in consultation with a faculty advisor. Hence, students in this program are required to formulate this course of study early in the undergraduate career and to enlist a faculty mentor to assist them through its execution.

This program must consist of at least thirty-six courses. A minimum of eighteen of these courses are electives in Mathematics (at least MATH 11 and 12), Sciences, Engineering Sciences, and Mechanical Engineering (at least eight courses). A minimum of six of the remaining courses are in humanities or social sciences. A Distribution Sheet for this degree is also included at the end of this booklet.

This distribution sheet may be downloaded.
