Nellie Mae Education Foundation Request for Videos (RFV)
The Nellie Mae Education Foundation is pleased to announce a Request
for Videos (RFV) that invites schools and organizations to help
young people creatively share their insights on how they learn. The
Video Challenge is open to public middle and high schools and other
education organizations in New England. Organizations submitting the
top videos will receive a grant award.
The deadline for submitting
videos is 5:00
p.m. on May 14, 2010.

Please join us for coffee and conversation during this unique time in the field of
higher education and civic engagement!
These dialogues will provide the opportunity to share strategies for partnerships and best
practices with colleagues, connect with practitioners from across the field, learn more about
upcoming MACC events and funding opportunities, as well as provide input, direction, and feedback
to MACC as we move into the next programming year.
This opportunity is open to all MACC members. Faculty, staff members, and administrators
are all encouraged to attend.

The Beginner's Guide to Community Engaged Scholarship
This session, intended for faculty, staff and administrators who are
new to community engaged scholarship, introduces the key aspects of
community engaged scholarship, including definitions, examples, and
resources.

The Jenzabar Foundation's "Best in Class"
Conference
Oct. 16-18, 2009 | Endicott College, Beverly MA
The goal of the conference is to provide a venue for leaders of
service-focus student groups to network with each other and learn about
the experiences of others who have integrated a sense of community into
their scholarship and their lives. A number of conference attendees will
be receiving "Best in Class" awards for their exceptional work in the
areas of community service and humanitarianism.
