Raise Your Voice: Month of Action 2006
February 19 - March 20, 2006
Campus Compact's Raise Your Voice campaign is mobilizing the voice and power of college students to address issues crucial to our democracy. Raise Your Voice not only encourages colleges and universities to create opportunities for students to be a part of democratic life, but also build democratic practice on campus so that students lead thinking about public life at their school.

Raise Your Voice-A Month of Action is an opportunity for students and campuses to continue the momentum built by the election and speak collectively about the voice and power of college students in public life and the importance of civic engagement in higher education.

Campus Compact is pleased to announce that 10 campuses in MA and RI will receive Raise Your Voice: Month of Action Presidential Activity Funds. These funds will provide an opportunity for Campus Compact member presidents in Massachusetts and Rhode Island to become personally involved in the national student civic engagement campaign's Month of Action. $750 grants will support events that bring campus communities together around issues of civic engagement. This year, the Month of Action grants will focus on EXPLORING THE STUDENT ROLE IN BUILDING ENGAGED CAMPUSES & UNDERSTANDING & IMPACTING COMMUNITY ISSUES.
