  Announcements: Academic Year 2006 - 2007

Berkshire Institute for Student Activism
November 10-11, 2006
The Berkshire Institute for Student Activism was a meeting of student change agents from around the Berkshires. On November 10 and 11, 2006, participants from Bennington College, Berkshire Community College, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Simons Rock College, southern Vermont College, and Williams College worked alongside community advisors to develop regional action campaigns.

The institute revolved around theme-based action groups of students who worked with a local community advisor. At the end of the institute, students shared a regional action plan from which college-community partnerships can be developed, informed, and guided by.

Thirty-three students from Williams participated, along with 35 from Simons Rock, 18 from MCLA, 16 from Berkshire Community College, 8 from Southern Vermont College and one from Bennington College.
