Why did you join MACC VISTA: My original plan was to go to grad school but when that didn't pan out my supervisor recommended I apply to be a VISTA. I had worked with three previous VISTAs who served at my college and saw all the amazing work they had done. So it only made sense to apply and follow in their footsteps!
How does service-learning benefit students and/or the community? Service-learning is beneficial because it does exactly what it says. It allows one to do service, analyze it, understand it, and learn from it. You can't have one without the other and vice versa.
