Why did you join MACC VISTA: MACC VISTA seemed like a great fit for me after graduation. I would be able to both maintain close interpersonal relationships with members of the community and develop much needed organizational and communication skills inside the office.

What is the role of higher education institutes in their community? It often happens that from the first moment incoming freshmen walk onto their college campuses, they seldom ever seem to leave it. Students are often unaware that they are surrounded by, and are a part of, lively communitiesones with their own unique issues and concerns. This disconnection can at times be due to institutional failings on the part of universities. It seems to me a university has the responsibility to take a positive, active role in the communities they themselves are a part of.
