Why did you join MACC VISTA: I joined MACC*VISTA for several reasons. For me, being a MACC*VISTA is that perfect median. After reading the description of the position I realized it was a good stepping stone to the "real world". Being a VISTA meant I would be challenged with new things but simultaneously develop new skills and use some of the skills and tools I had developed throughout college. Along with giving me a change of scenery, I knew MACC would do all of those things and more through continuous training.
How does service-learning benefit students and/or the community? Through service-learning students are allowed to get a visual and hands on experience on the things they read and learn about in the classroom while helping to build on the resources in the community.
