learning, campus-based community service issues, and anti-oppression and social
justice training. This training enables AmeriCorps*VISTA members to educate and
provide assistance to students, staff, and faculty in the areas of: student
leadership in community service and service learning, America Reads, America
Counts, service learning curriculum development, and campus and community
collaboration.
Throughout the year, MACC AmeriCorps*VISTA members
work on various projects as a corps. These include the planning and
implementation of a state-wide alternative break program. They also receive many
opportunities throughout the year for both professional and personal training.
