 Learning Our Community's American Lore

Teacher Adda Santos led her Somerville High School students in comparing the immigrant experience of today as they learned about it through interviews with family and friends to the experience of immigrants of the late 19th and early 20th centuries as they read about them in their textbooks. Nations represented included Ghana, El Salvador, India, Somalia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Brazil.
