About Us: Dean's Message
 | |
Dean Robert Sternberg | The Tufts University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute was awarded a generous
grant from the Bernard Osher Foundation in recognition of its demonstrated commitment
to providing unique learning opportunities for people of all ages. The Institute is
grounded in the idea that learning does not simply stop at a certain age. We are all
lifelong learners, and the programs and activities hosted by the Tufts University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute are an extension of that vision.
Through the various study groups, distance learning opportunities, and lunch and learn
events,
the Institute reaches out to alumni and the surrounding community to engage them in learning new things. This combination of programs appeals to individuals with varied interests and is an excellent opportunity for people to share experiences and knowledge.
Our commitment to civic engagement is embodied in the Tufts University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. The Institute provides exciting classes and discussion
opportunities to intellectually engage the local community to learn about and participate
in the world around them.
Tufts University is thankful to the Bernard Osher Foundation for recognizing the
opportunity to expand knowledge at all ages and collaborating with us to create the Tufts University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
Best wishes,
Robert J. Sternberg
Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences
