Housing Options for Transgender Students
Students interested in transgender housing options should contact the
director of the LGBT Center at 617-627-3770 or
dona.yarbrough@tufts.edu.
The director will serve as a liaison between the student and Residential
Life to accommodate the student's housing needs.
Transgender housing options include a single-occupancy room in a dorm
with other students of the same class year in a mixed-gender section of the
hall, or a double or single room in the LGBT mixed-gender housing unit, the
Rainbow House. All of these options
include a single-stall, lockable, non-gender-specific restroom within
reasonable distance of the student's room. (Halls meeting this
criterion include South Hall, Latin Way, and Hillsides.) |
