STUDENTS

The Leonard Carmichael Society (LCS) offers you, Tufts undergrads, a chance to give back to the community and develop real world skills through more than twenty programs. Programs, which vary in time committment, focus on five central themes: health, hunger and homelessness, literacy and education, special interest, and youth mentoring.


Through LCS, you can give back by:


  • Giving comfort to hungry families
  • Walking dogs in a shelter
  • Mentoring children
  • Teaching English to adults
  • Playing games with senior citizens
  • Giving blood for patients in need
  • Helping build low-income housing
  • Tutoring middle school students
  • Teaching conflict resolution
  • Taking spring break to those in need
  • Helping teens study for the S.A.T.
  • Teaching health curriculum in schools
  • Becoming special friends to a children
  • Teaching the importance of college
  • And more!
