Testimonials from 2009 Kids' Day Parents
- My six-year-old son loved this event. When I picked him up, the first thing he asked was, "Can I go back next week?"
- Parents should feel safe leaving their kids because the dropoff and pickup procedures that are put in place are followed correctly so that children do not just leave with ANYBODY! The children are entertained the whole time and there never is any down time. My child looks forward to going to all TUFTS events and you should too because it is good for everyone involved, and the parents get a six hour window to do whatever they need to do!!!
- What a fabulous gift to the community and such a fun filled day for my daughter!
- My child didn't know anyone when I dropped her off. When I picked her up it was like the theme from cheers EVERYONE knew her name.
- Kids’ Day at Tufts, is a true testament of commitment to the community and the involvement between college students and students of Medford.
- It was amazing the varied number of events that my daughter experienced in one afternoon! She was very excited when we picked her up and loved making her own cereal box guitar and performing. We will definitely participate again - she had a great experience!
- I had friends that attended themselves 30 years ago so I have sent my older children over the last 9 years knowing how committed your organization is. It really is such a great day!
- My child had a wonderful day. Even weeks after the event he will say, "Can I tell you something awesome that happened at Kids' Day?" The stories he tells are about science experiments, reenactments of things seen during the Treasure Trunk, tales of new friends that he met from other towns and the many surprises the day held for the children. Thank you, Tufts.
- "I looooved it. The counselors were awesome and I had fun." -Tyler (age 7)
- I can not say how grateful I am. I was nervous about leaving my daughter. This was the first time I had left her, not being a school setting. To add to it we were late because it was picture day at the dance school. There was not a problem. We got put with the Disco Dancers. I explained how my daughter is speech impaired and about her dairy restrictions. (They went over the lunch menu with me so I could tell them what she could and could not have.) The young women kept assuring me that was not a problem. Then one of them right away took her hand and brought her to the air bounce and stayed with her. While the other one assured me that if there were any issues she would call me. I know that my daughter did not have a great time but an AWESOME time. Her lack of verbal communication was not an issue; because when i arrived to pick her up - Everyone knew her name. Which leads me to believe that she must have known some of the kids...I know that these girls went out of their way to make her included in all the groups. To the two of you and everyone at Tufts Kids' Day who interacted with my child, Thank you, From a very grateful mom.
