Hundreds of Tufts undergrads serve the Medford/Somerville community annually in hopes of making the world a better place. Not only do Tufts students learn the value of giving back to the community, but more than 20 local organizations directly benefit from hundreds of hours:
- Giving comfort to hungry families
- Walking dogs in a shelter
- Mentoring children
- Teaching English to adults
- Playing games with senior citizens
- Giving blood for patients in need
- Helping build low-income housing
- Tutoring middle school students
- Teaching conflict resolution
- Taking spring break to those in need
- Helping teens study for the S.A.T.
- Teaching health curriculum in schools
- Becoming special friends to a children
- Teaching the importance of college
