LCS: Serving Today,

Changing Tomorrow

How can you change the world?

Students at Tufts University are recognized among the most socially conscious and active college students in the country. It's no wonder that the Leonard Carmichael Society (LCS), the umbrella organization for extracurricular community service on campus, is the largest student organization at Tufts.

Each year, LCS will engage over 1,000 students in helping the neighboring communities of Somerville and Medford, continuing a long tradition of active citizenship at Tufts. Whether your volunteering interests lie in the area of education, healthcare, homelessness or peer mentoring, one of over 20 LCS affiliated student organizations has an opportunity for you.
