Welcome to LCS
Welcome to the Leonard Carmichael Society (LCS) web page! LCS is now in its 50th year at Tufts and is the largest student-run organization on campus. We have almost 60 coordinators and over 1,000 volunteers in 30 programs. Each of these programs focuses on different aspects of community service and advocacy.
Each of the 36 programs is assigned to one of five interest groups:
Group 1: Programs concerning issues of hunger & homelessness
Group 2: Youth mentoring programs
Group 3: Programs concerning literacy & education
Group 4: Programs concerning health issues
Group 5: Special interest programs
