Mission and Goals

Mission

The Latino Alumni Association of Tufts University (U) seeks to create a community that works collectively to provide financial, academic, social and professional support to Latino alumni, students, faculty, staff and the Tufts community at large.

Goals

The goals of the Latino Alumni Association of Tufts University are as follows:

  • Provide a venue for professional networking among alumni.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of Latino students, faculty and staff on the Tufts University campus.
  • Advocate for the interests and concerns of Latino alumni and on-campus students.
  • Assist the university and the Latino Center in the academic and personal development of Latino students by serving as mentors to current students.
  • Participate in the formulation of Tufts policies as related to the Latino community.
  • Promote awareness and involvement in local, regional and national activism.
