| About The Latino Center
The Latino Center officially opened in October of
1993 to serve the needs of the Latino student population on the
Tufts campus. Its primary objectives are to provide a supportive
environment for its students, to foster pride in the Latino culture
and to serve as a resource to the entire Tufts community.
The Latino Center, through its programs, is committed to helping
build a strong Latino community at Tufts where students feel valued
and supported. The director advises students on academic, personal,
and career issues and is the advisor to La Casa Latina and to the
Association of Latin American Students (ALAS).
Books, periodicals and videos are available for students to borrow.
The Center also has a bulletin board with information on jobs,
internships, and scholarships. It also has computers for student
use.
