Faculty Hosting - Getting a Web Site - What is your objective?
You have the following options:
- Tufts Faculty
Profiles
For posting
information such as name, title, expertise,
degrees, awards, CV, scholarship & research,
email address.
See example of faculty
profile.
- To find your profile on Tufts Faculty
Profiles, please go to the home page at
http://ase.tufts.edu/faculty-guide and
either click on your department or scroll to
the bottom and click on
Alphabetical Listing
for the first letter of your last name.
- To update your profile, simply click on
the "Update Your Profile" link at the bottom
of your page. You will
find here instructions on how to submit
modifications to ITS.
- If you do not see your name on The Guide
and would like ITS to post your information
there, please send an email (and attach your
CV) to the
Faculty Guide Mailbox.
- Blackboard
For sharing information with students:
post course information, homework, grades,
discussion boards, etc.
- Department web site
Most ASE departments have a web
site that contains a faculty section
with information about each faculty.
Each department has its own means of
updating their department site, and you
will need to inquire within to find out
who is maintaining that site.
(Many department sites are updated by
our team here at ITS, but there is a
contact person within your department
who is responsible for sending us the
edits). ITS currently provides
extensive web services (such as web
design, development, and maintenance) to
ASE departments, centers, and institutes
on the ASE server.
- SPARK
If you have Tufts related
information that you would like to share
online, and it does not fit into any of
the categories above, please visit
SPARK, a service of UIT. With
SPARK, you can create Wikis, Blogs,
PodCasts, WebMeetings, MediaMarkups
(annotate video and audio files), and
create / share maps.

If you have any questions about the
options above, please send an email to the
ITS Hosting Mailbox.
