When you contact the HelpDesk, the person you speak to will ask you for
certain key pieces of information, including:
- Your full name
- Department
- Telephone number
- Type of computer (Macintosh or PC)
- Operating system (Macintosh OS 10.x, Windows XP, Vista or 7)
- Description of your problem (My computer won't boot, I can't print...etc)
- Has anyone else in your department had the same problem?
Make sure you are calling from a phone near your computer or the hardware
experiencing the problem.
If you leave a message, please speak slowly and clearly while providing all
the details listed above.
