Email & Network FAQs - Students
I forgot my LAN account password, how can I regain access to my network account?
To have your LAN account password reset:
- Go to the ITS Computing Center @ Eaton Hall during walk-in hours, Monday - Friday afternoons between 1-5pm with a government issued photo ID card or official Tufts University ID card.
- Email
studentaccounts@ase.tufts.edu with a scanned copy of your Tufts ID and an email address that your password information can be sent to.
I'm not on campus and I'd like to change or reset my password. How do I do this?
You can change your password
online. You will
need to know your username and current password. Your LAN username is the same as the username that you
use for your Tufts email address.
Why does my Tufts password have to be so complicated?
Strict LAN passwords are required to protect University security, including your personal storage space. The more complex your password, the less likely it will be compromised.
For more details, please visit the
LAN Password Creation Guidelines
(pdf).
What computers can I log on to with my Tufts username and password?
You can log on to any public computer on the Medford computer including the:
- ITS Computing Center @ Eaton Hall Mugar Computer Lab
