Modifying Course Name and Description

1. Instructors and TAs can modify the name of their course site and add a description
which is posted in the Blackboard Catalog.
2. To re-name the course site and add a course description:
- Log into the Blackboard course site as usual.
- Go to Control Panel / Settings. This displays the Settings page.
- Click on the "Course Name and Description" link. This displays
the Course Name and Description form.
- Type in a new name in the box marked "Course Name".
- Type in a course description in the box marked "Description".
- The "Classification" function in our version of Blackboard is
not active so the dropdown boxes in Section #2 have no affect on the course
site.
- Click on the "Submit" button on the bottom of the page. A receipt
will be displayed telling you that the course name and description has been
updated. The name and description will appear in the Blackboard catalog when
the course site is active and categorized.
