Modifying Course Catalog Category

1. Instructors and TAs can modify where the course site is listed in the Blackboard
Catalog.
2. To modify the course site's catalog category:
- Log into the Blackboard course site as usual.
- Go to Control Panel / Settings. This displays the Settings page.
- Click on the "Categorize Course" link. This displays the Categorize
Course form.
- Use the dropdown box to place the course site into the proper semester and
departmental category in the Blackboard catalog. After finding the correct
category / subcategory select it and click on the "Add" button.
If an incorrect category currently exists or if you do not want the course
site listed in the Blackboard catalog you can remove it by clicking on the
"Remove" button. A course site can be listed in more than one category.
- When finished, click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the page.
- Course sites are usually categorized by the Blackboard administrator when
the instructor requests the course site for a particular semester and removed
from the catalog by the Blackboard Administrator at the end of the semester
when the student accounts are removed.
