Mission Statement

ITS wishes to foster an environment whereby the introduction of effective information technology can allow students, faculty, and administrators to become more productive in their work. We work to facilitate communication and understanding; provide support, encouragement, and training for users to implement and effectively take advantage of new technology. ITS strives to be integrated with, and supportive of achieving, the goals and objectives that are in the best interest of Tufts University.

ITS Goals

• Design and deliver new systems and increased functionality to Arts & Sciences Faculty and Staff.
• Develop a customer oriented approach to service delivery.
• Cultivate a team-oriented mindset within ITS and in working within Arts and Sciences.
• Create innovative ways in which technology can be used in teaching and learning.
• Deliver timely systems support to academic and administrative departments.
• Maintain a motivated and engaged staff by providing a challenging work environment while focusing on individual career development.
• Arts & Sciences, through the Director of Academic Technology (DAT), will work through TCCS to create synergy with other Tufts schools to leverage resources and opportunities.
