We
are always eager to add more to our list, but some of our annual
traditions and past events include:
Charity
Bake Sale
Come support the I-Club as
we raise money for the International Scholarship Fund through these
delicious goodies and treats!
Trick or Treat with UNICEF
The
I-Club hopes to make this a yearly tradition, of organizing trick-or-treating
for charity to raise money for the United Nations Children's Fund.
I-Cruise
Each
year in the first week of November, this amazing cruise party takes
place on a stylish yacht, the Spirit of Boston, with international
standard DJs playing music from all corners of the globe. Cash bar
with snacks, and drinks available with 21+ ID. Dress is semi-formal.
Free transportation is provided, with buses leaving from the Campus
Center. This wonderful event allows us to show both Tufts and Non-Tufts
students alike how much fun we can be!
Intercultural Week
The International Club annually
hosts a week of wonderful events celebrating all the cultures of
the world. It all begins with a themed Kickoff Party in which
we enjoy snacks and celebrate the start of I-Week... As well as
bringing in a Guest Speaker, we host our very own "I-Hop"
(International House of Pancakes) at the International House, with
a foreign film screening, international desserts from all over the
world, and of course, pancakes! Intercultural Week also includes
the International Food Fair, "Global Goodies", an event
for which the culture clubs from around campus unite to bring us
a global assortment of munchies. Intercultural Week goes out
with a bang, as we end with one of our biggest events of the year:
our annual culture show, the Parade of Nations.
Parade of Nations
The exciting culmination of
Intercultural Week, the Parade of Nations is a culture show hosted
by the I-Club that showcases an array of performances from the different
culture groups at Tufts. The show gives students of different
cultural origins the chance to display an aspect of their culture
to their fellow students through talented performances of music,
dance, theatre and more. It also has an International Fashion Show,
in which student models represent countries from all over the globe,
through traditional dress and other innovative ideas. The
winner of the Oliver Chapman Award
for Leadership and Community Service is
also announced at the show each year, and the presentation of this
award and prize takes place.

Schools Project
Join the I-Club as we endeavor
to help out those in the community around us! Sign up as a student
country representative, and teach children from local schools about
your home, sharing your knowledge of our globe. Help bring
about more cultural awareness, as well as meet some children from
the area!
