If you wish to learn more about taking the TOEFL Exam, you may now obtain this information from the TOEFL website at www.toefl.org. You can find information about registration procedures, test dates and test centers. You will also be able to request registration information from this website.

If you have already been accepted to a GRADUATE program at Tufts, you will receive the following documents from the International Center in your acceptance packet from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences or the School of Nutrition at Tufts University:

• Welcome Letter
• Estimate of Expenses
• How to Determine Amount of Funding You Must Show in Order to Get Your Immigration Document
• International Student Information Form (PDF)

Please review the procedure below to understand the process you must follow in order to receive your Form I-20 and corresponding F-1 visa in order to enter the United States:

• Obtaining the Form I-20 or DS 2019
• Applying for a U.S. Non-Immigrant Student Visa (F-1 or J-1)
• Paying the SEVIS Fee
• US-VISIT at Port of Entry
• Special Registration

In some cases, international students may be offered another immigration status, such as the J-1 student visa. The International Center will determine if and when this visa status is appropriate to limited individuals.
