Estimate of Expenses for J-1 Exchange Visitors
As of July 1, 2009, the International Center will follow a new
Estimate of Expenses for J-1 exchange visitors sponsored by Tufts
University on the Medford, Grafton, and HNRCA/Boston campuses.
The estimate of expenses is based on a twelve-month period. These are
minimum estimates for living expenses and may vary depending on
lifestyle. Transportation to and from the United States is not included.

Health Insurance Costs may vary between $100-$400/mo depending on age
of primary member.
In addition, J-1 exchange visitors sponsored by Tufts will need to
demonstrate funding for an accompanying spouse in the amount of $4,320
per year, as well as $4320 for each child.
