USCIS Mandatory Law: All Internationals Must Report Their Addresses to USCIS
The U.S. Citizenship
and Immigration Services (USCIS) is now enforcing a
law that had not previously been enforced. ALL
international students, faculty and scholars are
required to report their address to USCIS. If you
move - at any time during your stay in the United
States - you are required to provide your new
address to the USCIS within 10 days of your move,
using USCIS Form AR-11. Each dependent is required
to complete a separate form. Post Office Box
addresses are not acceptable.
Download and complete the required
USCIS Form AR-11. Once you have completed this
form, be sure you mail it to the USCIS address
listed and keep a copy of the completed form for
your files. We strongly recommend that you submit
the Form AR-11 through Return Receipt or Registered
Mail. Failure to comply with this law could result
in serious penalties.
If you have been made subject to Special
Registration, you will be required to complete
USCIS Form AR-11, SR.
You can also update your
address with USCIS.
