How to Invite a J-1 Scholar
To invite a scholar (researchers, lecturers) in J-1 status,
the I-Center will assign your department a username and password for "e-Scholar."
Please email
internationalcenter@tufts.edu directly if you wish to do this,
and someone will assist you.
 e-Scholar is an electronic system that assists the I-Center
in collecting data from both the sponsoring Tufts department and
the individual who will visit Tufts in J-1 status. The Tufts
department, (usually the department administrator, but not always)
will complete an electronic form detailing the dates, position, and
other particulars of the appointment. You will then invite the
scholar to complete his or her biographical information.
