Elise is a doctoral student in the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development. She earned her M.A. in Human Development and Social Intervention from New York University in 2013 and her B.S. in Psychology from Xavier University in 2010. As a research assistant at the Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development, Elise works on the Aurthor Interactive Media Study (AIMS). Broadly, her research interests include understanding the processes by which racism is maintained institutions to create marginalized experiences for youth. In addition, Elise is interested in studying youth initiated social change.
