John is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development and works on the Youth Entrepreneurship Study, which is funded by the John Templeton Foundation. John received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri - Kansas City and received both his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Developmental and Quantitative Psychology from the University of Kansas. John's research emphasizes the integration of diverse theoretical approaches to self-regulation and examines how self-regulation develops across the life span. John is interested in quantitative methodology and primarily focuses on multilevel and latent variable models.
