Mimi Arbeit is a graduate student and Provost Fellow in the Applied Child Development MA/PhD program within the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development at Tufts University. Currently, she is a Graduate Research Assistant for Project GPS: Building Goal Management Skills in Young People, within the Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Rights from Columbia University in 2007. Mimi’s primary research interests involve using the PYD approach to study adolescent sexual development, focusing on how school-based curricula and out-of-school-time programs can proactively support adolescents in developing sexual agency, sexual ethics, and the social, emotional, and cognitive skills necessary to make healthy decisions and engage in fulfilling relationships.
